Extreme Environment Monitoring
PERMANENT, LOW COST, WIDE AREA, CONTINUOUS, EXTREME ENVIRONMENT MONITORING
Ionix is planning to launch a new wide temperature range ultrasonic transducer based on HotSense® technology for thickness and crack monitoring from -55°C up to 350°C continuously.
The 0 degree probe will initially be available at 3 MHz, designed for permanent installation in a multitude of environments from low temperature up to elevated temperatures of 350°C, and capable of continuous thickness measurement. The probes will come with a range of deployment and fixture options.
The 0-degree probe can be applied to offer a simple and more cost-effective approach, providing wider area coverage and continuous monitoring across a range of industrial applications, both under insulation or in high temperature atmosphere without the need for cooling or duty cycling.
Performance of the probes have been evaluated over 16 months with little or no decline when installed at 350 C continuously.
