Ionix’s advanced high temperature piezoelectric technology is ideally suited for a range of applications in the aerospace sector.

With the drive for measurement at higher operating temperatures, the compact, low mass, high temperature and high work Ionix materials provide, for the first time, viable alternatives for traditional position sensors, magnetic solenoid and hydraulic actuators and fuel injectors in aero engines. The ability to place our materials closer to the hot engine will enable improved sensing and telemetry.

Overall our devices will allow for more efficient ‘lean burn’ aircraft engines that will have a lower environmental impact, thereby helping to meet emissions targets for the airline industry.
